Bendyshe Room
With underfloor heating beneath the Crema Marfil Italian marble flooring and pillars, a grand original plaster fireplace carrying the Bendyshe family coat of arms, full length south facing Georgian sash windows with silk drapes, the Bendyshe room is our main reception room. Through large double sliding wooden doors it leads onto the Garden room which adjoins the Gosforth Room. All three rooms can be used as one for the larger occasion. The Bendyshe room boasts discreet ceiling mounted audio-visual facilities supported by a Bang and Olufsen sound system.
With a wood burning stove and French Baroque style furniture, it provides the perfect setting for pre-dinner drinks and nibbles. Alternatively the Bendyshe room can be prepared to seat 40 delegates theatre style or 25 boardroom Style.
This room is licensed for Civil Ceremonies and Civil Partnerships, and can accommodate 40 people for such an event. Larger groups up to 80 guests can be accommodated by opening through the Garden Room to the Gosforth Room.
In due course a larger function room (The Kendal Suite, available 2010) will be available for larger groups still.
Gosforth Room
A large cream marble original fireplace dominates this graceful room which also enjoys marble flooring, underfloor heating and full audio-visual facilities. It is again south facing with huge full length sash windows that look across the extensive grounds. A Bang and Olufsen sound system is fully installed. An opulent centrally placed crystal chandelier sits over a specially commissioned handmade oak dining table that will sit up to 20 guests. Alternatively the room can be arranged to seat 40 delegates theatre style.

Garden Room
This smaller but exquisitely presented room adjoins both our main reception rooms with large double sliding doors thus enabling the Bendyshe, Gosforth and Garden rooms to be used as one for the larger occasion. The Garden Room is so named as it opens through south facing French doors onto the refurbished terraces below. The terraces sweep down to the manicured lawns, tennis court, paddocks and woodlands.
Marquee
Our semi-permanent marquee, tailor made for us by a local company of some standing, sits in the south west aspects of the grounds. It is seamless with the western aspect of the Hall but completely independent with its own reception, catering, toilet and bar facilities. Lined with cream silk, wooden dance floor and fully carpeted the Marquee looks out on to the grounds through fully fitted wooden French doors. 180 guests can dine seated comfortably with a further 50 for non-seated events, but for smaller groups we have a series of stylish partitions to keep the ambience more intimate.
